PTO Objectives

  1. 1. To support the administration, teachers, and families in fulfilling the mission of the school.
  2. 2. To improve communication between home, school, parents, and teachers.
  3. 3. To help all school children reach their potential by working in partnership with teachers and administrators.
  4. 4. To encourage parent participation in the activities of the school.
  5. 5. To provide information on ways parents can be involved with their child’s learning.
  6. 6. To have membership in the organization that is representative of the diversity of GUGCS.
  7. 7. To embrace English Language Learners and cultural diversity in our school and organization.
  8. 8. To promote unity within the school.
  9. 9. To facilitate the positive interaction between the school and the community.
  10. 10. To assist Teacher Representatives in the effective and meaningful communication to all PTO Members of the GUGCS curriculum, units of study, and academic goals.
  11. 11. To enhance the school’s mission with activities, events and choices that supports a green culture.
